  1. Where Are The Other Goodies?

  3. Previous Internet Config distributions shipped with more goodies than are present in this distribution.  These old goodies include:

  5. • Eudora GURL Handler
  6. • ICRandomSignature
  7. • ICGenericOverride (Programmer’s Kit only)
  8. • ICReadOnly  (Programmer’s Kit only)
  9.  
  10. These goodies were removed from this distribution for a variety of reasons:

  12. 1. The “Eudora GURL Handler” has been obsoleted by new versions of Eudora that support GURL AppleEvents directly.

  14. 2. ICRandomSignature (1.0.1b1) was a technology demonstration that we can no longer afford to maintain.  The versions from the IC 1.3 distribution (ICRandomSignature 1.0.1b1) should continue to work with IC 1.4 and earlier, however it is now broken under IC 2.0 and should not be used.

  16. 3. ICGenericOverride was a Think Pascal centred technology. When we moved IC development to CodeWarrior, we did not have the time to update this technology. Look for a revise IC Generic Override Component Architecture in a future distribution.

  18. 4. ICReadOnly was based on ICGenericOverride and was removed for much the same reasons.  The versions from the IC 1.3 distribution (ICReadOnly 1.0) should continue to work for with IC 1.4 and earlier, however it is now broken under IC 2.0 and should not be used.
